PROTEGEE PARTNER

Based on pre-defined criteria, experienced professionals who live in Dekalb County will be selected to participate in this Junior Consultant Program.  The goal of this program is to partner a Junior Consultant based on their background, experience and interest with a business owner to assist with solving a business problem or addressing a need. 

The goal of this Program is to begin to develop a new breed of resources that will take on a new level of responsibility, ownership and accountability for growth within their community.  We want to help build future business owners and leaders of Dekalb County.

In order to achieve the highest performance possible, we will develop a comprehensive training curriculum and performance plan to monitor and measure results.  At the end of each consulting engagement, we will review our performance plans and modify the training curriculum accordingly. 

This program will also allow Junior Consultants to work closely and more effectively with more seasoned professionals so they may receive the coaching and mentoring needed to enhance their communication and presentation skills. 

As a Junior Consultant in the Partner Protégée Program, responsibilities may include:

  • Document interview notes
  • Develop data collection and research plans
  • Collecting data
  • Documenting requirements
  • Assisting in conducting gap analysis between a businesses’ current and desired state
  • Assisting in industry, competitive and company analyses (strategic, financial, operational) as well as market research for benchmarking
  • Assisting in analysis and documentation of as-is capabilities about business processes, people, technology, etc.
  • Assisting in the development of to-be processes
  • Assisting in development new business processes, capabilities, and, as appropriate, supporting technologies
  • Developing deployment deliverables (communications, marketing, training, etc.)
  • Assisting in implementation activities related to new solutions
  • Facilitating focus group sessions
  • Conducting mystery shopping visits
